health and safety
- don't stick you fingers in while device is powered on
- always load the material from the back of the device, not from the front where your hand might cross the moving parts.
- When handling the cutting head, be mindful of the tip where the blade is exposed.
- Only used approved materials (vinyl, card)
how to set it up
- power cable on the right
- power button next to power socket
- usb on the left
- set device in device manager to COM port 1-9
- Use Signblazer elements
- Go to cutter
- Settings
- Select RedSail RS720C
- Select Blazer.COM# that you have set up in device manager
how to adjust properties
- turn on
- in online mode (green on online button) you can set speed and pressure using P and S buttons
- to feed material:
- release the roller clamps from the back of the device (3 spring loaded levers)
- feed material from the back of the device
- slide roller clamps along the rail to cover materials
- secure clamps on materials
- to move material:
- put in offline mode (red on online button)
- use S+ and S- to move material
- press reset to register new position
- to do a test cut:
- in online mode (green) adjust settings
- set in offline mode
- use P and S buttons to set test position
- press test (Will do a 1cm square cut)
- EXITING OFFLINE MODE WILL MOVE THE MATERIAL BACK TO ORIGIN (BE CAREFUL)
how to get your job into the controller software
- Design job in Inkscape
- Select designs
- Copy from Inkscape (using Ctrl-C)
- Paste (Ctrl-V) into SignBlazer
- Check design has copied correctly
how to send a job
- make sure design is in online mode (green)
- In SignBlazer:
- Load your design as described above
- Press 'Cutter'
- Make sure the design is loaded properly
- Press 'Cut'
- In pop-up window press 'Cut Tile'
How to remove job
- turn off cutter
- release the roller clamps
- remove material from the back of the device
- apply transfer tape
- remove adhesive layer
- remove unwanted bits from cut
- apply vinyl to target surface
- slowly peel off transfer tape
